Aderol

What is Aderol? People often misspell Adderall's name, and Aderol is one of the many possible misspellings. Of course, you will not find any genuine pill if you look for Aderol. They are just inavailable, or, if you surprisingly come across some of them, they will certainly be fake. The well-known mixture of amphetamine salts used for treatment of ADHD can only be distributed under the brand name Adderall, in which no letter can be changed or omitted. So, be careful when purchasing anything in the street or online. Do not let any crooks trick you into buying a fake product which is at least useless, or even dangerous!

How long does Adderall stay in your system?

The question can be divided into two parts: 1) how long is Adderall active in your system? and 2) for how long can Adderall be detected in your system?

The half life of regular Adderall in your system is 4 to 6 hours. A single dose needs about 35 hour to be removed out of the system. The half life of Adderall XR dose is 10 to 13 hours. (In XR (extended-release) formulation, different amphetamine salts metabolized at different rates.) The system needs about 60 hours to get rid of it.

As for the detection period, there are various methods of testing the system for Adderall, and they give different results. In urine, Adderall can be found during 1 to 4 days after use. This period can get longer after a chronic use of the medication (up to 7 days). When using saliva testing, detection period is about 3 days, so its efficiency can be compared to urine testing. Blood testing gives a range of about 12 hours, but it is the most precise method which is able to determine the amount of the medication taken. And at last, hair testing. Each 1.5" of growth provides a detection period of about 3 months. So, the shorter hair the person has, the shorter is the detection period. An essential detail: we have to measure hair from the end, as the marks of the past are deposited and left behind as the hair grows on.

Generic Adderall XR

The question is: can generic Adderall XR be found on the market legally? It can. At least since 2006, when Shire Pharmaceuticals agreed to sell her rights for this brand name to another company called Duramed Pharmaceuticals. Since then, the medication has become available under generic name of "mixed amphetamine salts". Shire intended to retain exclusive patent rights until the patent for the "Adderall" brand expired in 2018. However, Shire first sold Adderall (instant release) to Barr Pharmaceuticals and then let Barr manufacture the generic for Adderall extended-release, too. Also, a settlement has been reached between IMPAX Laboratories and Shire Laboratories Inc., a subsidiary of Britain's Shire Pharmaceuticals in the United States, so IMPAX will be able to sell generic Adderall XR in the United States at least until January 1, 2010. Also, in case of another generic version of Adderall XR being launched, IMPAX may be permitted to enter the market as Shire's authorized generic.

Adderall XR 20mg Capsules

Adderall XR 20mg capsules contain four active ingredients:
  1. dextroamphetamine saccharate
  2. dextroamphetamine sulfate
  3. (racemic dextro/levo-amphetamine) aspartate monohydrate
  4. (racemic dextro/levo-amphetamine) sulfate
in equal proportions.

Due to the fact that these different salts are metabolized at different rates, the extended-release form of Adderall XR 20mg capsules have a milder action as compared to single-salt Adderall preparations.

Also, Adderall XR capsules contain two types of beads which dissolve at different rates, too.

IMPAX Adderall XR

IMPAX Laboratories, Inc have launched their own generic version of Adderall XR - a once daily, extended-release, mixture of salts of a single-entity amphetamine product used for the treatment of Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). IMPAX Laboratories have been having some trouble with marketing their Adderall XR product, because another company, Shire Laboratories Inc., a subsidiary of Britain's Shire Pharmaceuticals Group Plc, filed a lawsuit against the Company in the USA. Until recently, generic Adderall has only been available in the form of instant-release tablets. Adderall XR (a long-acting form of the medication) was not available in a generic form, as it was protected by a patent. But today, as a proper settlement has been reached, IMPAX may be permitted to enter the US market as Shire's authorized generic. IMPAX will pay Shire a royalty from its generic sales of IMPAX Adderall XR. Together with IMPAX Adderall there may be found other generic versions of the medication produced by a number of companies, including Duramed Pharmaceuticals, Barr Pharmaceuticals, Eon Labs, and Ranbaxy Pharmaceuticals.

Adderall and Adderall XR - Any Difference?

There is a difference between "common" Adderall and Adderall XR. XR means "extended release", i. e., the dose of the medication is released into the systme during a longer period of time as compared to the instant-release form. The effect is achieved due to the special formulation of Adderall XR which consists of four different amphetamine salts metabolized at different rates. They are:
  • dextroamphetamine saccharate
  • dextroamphetamine sulfate
  • (racemic dextro/levo-amphetamine) aspartate monohydrate
  • (racemic dextro/levo-amphetamine) sulfate
  • That is why the extended-release form of the medication has a milder action as compared to single-salt amphetamine preparations. Adderall XR is a later product by Shire Pharmaceuticals. It was put on the market in 2001, five years after instant-release form of Adderall brand.

    What is Adderall?

What sort of medication is Adderall? And what makes it so popular? Adderall is a psychostimulant used mainly to treat attention deficit or hyperacive disorder (ADHD), especially in children. It helps the brain concentrate, and students widely use it when they have to do a lot of studying, preparing for exams. It is used for the treatment of narcolepsy - a condition when a person cannot sleep well at night and feels extremely tired and sleepy during the day. Adderall has proved to be effective in cases when standard antidepressants do not work properly (in patients suffering of treatment-resistant depression). Also, having a quality of suppressing appetite, Adderall is even sometimes used as a weight loss medication!

Why Adderall, not something else? The matter is that Adderall is a compound medication. It consists of a mixture of several amphetamine salts, each of the salts having some special features and thus affecting the system in complex. Other medications that can be called Adderall's equivalents, such as Vyvanse or Dexedrine, are single salts that lack unique properties of Adderall's mixture.

We are launching this blog to make everybody more familiar with Adderall's features, effects and usage. We also hope to keep our readers well informed about the latest Adderall news from all over the world. So, hello! Welcome! And let us keep in touch!
